"I love life because what more is there." - Anthony Hopkins
With years over 10 years of improv/sketch
comedy experience with the Metro Detroit comedy troupe Project 2 Improv, Brian Titus is no
stranger to the stage. Performing for
public and private audiences across Michigan, his addition to Project 2 Improv
as a cast member and writer of original sketches allows him to sharpen his
comedic wit. He was recently called “hyper and likeable, similar to Chris Farley,
is as equally adept at physical comedy as he is at assuming a highly visible
role as the wise cracking fat kid,” by the Belleville View newspaper.
Titus recently started a nerd-culture and pop culture web show called The Not So Cool Kids Podcast with one of his improv/sketch comedy chums - Brent Brozek. Each episode features an industry interview from various fandoms or nerdy professions. The show can be found primarily on YouTube but it planning on making the transition to iTunes soon. Feel free to visit their website at www.thenotsocoolkidspodcast.com or visit their Facebook fan page and give them a "Like."
Along with his work in such indie films as Surviving the Rush, Bad to the Bone, Tetherball, Mary's Buttons, A Dog for Christmas, Kent Masters: Secret Agent, Don’t Drink and Teach (a short film he co-wrote and produced), and Confidance (a short film he co-directed). Titus is a working actor who aims to continue his work in film, television, and other forms of media. He can also be seen in the webisodic show Group The Series, where he plays an interior decorator named Sal who has ties to the Amish mafia.
In addition to the entertainment industry, Titus has worked a variety of challenging and rewarding jobs. In 2002, he took a position at WKQI Channel 955’s top-rated morning show ‘Mojo in the Morning’ as an Assistant Producer, eventually earning a position for a short time in their promotions department. He was at one time the Public Relations Director of the Canton Concert Band, a 40 member performance ensemble and to this day still hosts many of their live concerts.
“Work hard, and be honest to yourself & others.” This is a motto that he instills in his personal and professional life.
